It’s been a busy few months for us here at Hawley Crescent.  As you can see, we’ve revamped the website and are hoping to have the order system up and running in the next few days, the Take Away Cafe has been open since mid February and has been steadily gaining momentum over the past couple of months.  We are working on getting our signage and artwork produced so people will be able to find us without issue when they come to 105 Consumers Drive.

Our community presence has really been increasing over the past number of weeks – I’ve been doing the Library Tour of Durham (Whitby, Clarington, Pickering and Uxbridge) showing them How To Prep Like A Chef for their How To in 10 series and have already made two different TV appearances, with a third scheduled for Daytime Durham this Friday morning.

Catering has been keeping us busy, with various events happening each and every weekend, as well as a number during the week.  Gotta keep rolling in order to get our name out there, but I have to admit, I’m looking forward to actually taking a weekend off and enjoying this Victoria Day holiday weekend.

Speaking of the holiday weekend, we have plenty of vaccu-sealed takeaway items available for sale.  These are perfect for cottagers, campers and people who simply want a break from cooking this weekend.  There’s lasagna, ribs, pulled pork, chicken breast (two different varieties), jerk chicken and chicken wings.  We also have a selection of sides to complete your meals.  Stop by the shop or contact us if you are interested in purchasing any of these items.

Victoria Day is the unofficial kickoff to summer (though we usually get rain throughout the weekend) and we all should be celebrating the fact that summer is around the corner. I hope that you all have a safe and happy holiday weekend spent with family, good friends and of course good food!

Live Tastefully!
