It’s been a busy three months here on the Hawley Crescent home front, and I must say that it’s been a wonderful ride, so far. I’ve been testing new recipes, tweaking some old reliables and working on new ways to better satisfy our clients with healthy home cooked meals. It’s been well worth it, but we’ve decided to take the weekend off to enjoy ourselves with family and friends.

We have some friends coming to stay the weekend with us from Windsor – looking forward to an amazing weekend together. Tomorrow the clan is heading off to Canada’s Wonderland to release our inner children for the day. It appears that we’ll have good weather for the event, but in all honesty, it really doesn’t matter – it’s Wonderland…

Sunday is Sue’s birthday. A group of us are heading off to the Rogers Centre to watch the Jays take on the Texas Rangers – Sue and Mandy are going to hang out together at the Eaton Centre. After the game, we are going to say good by to our Windsor friends and head west to Milton for a birthday celebration with some of our closest friends (whom we definitely don’t get to spend enough time with due to distance and schedules).

On Monday, our nephew will be paying us a visit, as he’s just accepted a new job in Kitchener Waterloo – no doubt he’ll be leaving with a care package of food – my guess would be lamb…

It will be business as usual next week, but in the meantime, we are going to enjoy ourselves (without guilt) for taking time off to enjoy with family and friends.

Live Tastefully!
