Hi folks, it seems like forever since I last posted. We’ve been busy getting the shop up and running (OK, we’re running on a limited menu until we get the OK from the city to proceed with all of our renovations and improvements) and have been making inroads with the tenants. It has been great getting to know them and we thank them for their support. I would also like to thank our long standing clients for all of the support, and for those who have stopped by to say hi. It’s really great to see familiar faces and to know that we have the love and support of so many!

We are in the process of updating our webpage to an e-commerce site, to enable us to handle online ordering. I was hoping that it would be fully operational now, but unfortunately it appears that I’ll have to shoot for a March launch on the site refresh.

We have been getting our name out there in the community as well. Sue and Nikki have been doing the bridal circuit – both are naturals for the trade shows. We are attempting to do things a little differently (sort of like Saturn, before GM decided to blow up the Pontiac division) by actually working with the happy couple’s budget, and not simply telling them that it’s our way or the highway. The approach seems to be working, as we’ve gathered a high response/return rate from the shows that we’ve done.

The Yummi thing (the Israeli group that approached me to work with them re online personal chef/catering services) is progressing nicely, though slowly – which actually works in my favour at the moment.

Back to the Take Away Cafe (current name for the location, though we are still exploring other names) we’re getting painting done this weekend, have marketing and artwork/design coming within the next couple of weeks – my God, the place isn’t going to be recognizable in the before/after pictures…

Stay tuned for more – we have a ton of marketing pix, as well as foodie stuff to post up to the site. We’ve been refraining because of the migration and the fact that we’ve been launching Hawley Crescent to the people of 105 Consumers Drive Whitby – please stop by and say hi. I’ll have a coffee or a lunch special at the ready for you…

Thanks again for the continued support – Live Tastefully!!!

Roger
